who wants an electric shock ?

haha quote of the week. proudly contributed by this one&only columnmate of mine who has a oh-so-wonderful sense of humour. the scene was set like this: last day of the week. bell rang. dark skies. showers with thunder and lightning. hip&cool green classroom in familiar chaos. with aching bodies but thoroughly sincere hearts we prayed that 5items will be postponed. above the looming grey clouds we thought our prayers had been answered as the ever-welcoming PA system was heard. everyone froze. gazing at the speaker like it was the most fascinating thing in the world...

"primary girls, it's time to pack your bags."

sighhhh. trish continued with her walking around to offer chicken wings. exciting columnmates retreated to the cosy balcony, occasionally letting out squeals of excitement as they attempted SBJ. it can be inferred that we adapt to changes very fast, from the way we embraced the imminent PFT upon accepting that it will be held in the hall. camera flashes could be detected from the corner of my eye. (i swear i knew it was camera flash and not lightning lor. really.) NICE seatmate and i were hardworking as always, pressing away on our calculators, integrating amath. the sense of achievement at getting the accurate significant figures overwhelmed the inevitable presence of distractions. finally, here comes the climax. the oh-so-wonderfully humorous one plopped herself onto the teacher's armchair, waved a plug in our faces gaily and went, " who wants an electric shock? stick your fingers here! "

it must have been the result of all the pressure we got lahh. there's no substantial reason to doubt our sanity really. let me share one of the relatively innovative ways we relieve stress. at the count of three, erupt into a thriple rendition of "happy birthday to you". as in the english version, the chinese version and the hot-favourite mixed version. all three times three. for the three birthdays of the week. woohoo. plus one happy mother's day song. :D that happened about 45min b4 sch ended, just as we were about to embark on a compre exercise revolving around the great Titanic. i'm sure we didnt affect our neighbours lahh. we sang qte well wad, especially since we regularly train our voices to the cool tune of the differentiation song. but if our united voices got "reflected" off the walls of the corridor, aiyah, too bad lor.

of course, let's not forget to credit Counterpain for our survival of the true test of physical fitness. and thanks to my interesting fellow ts for concluding my day so interestingly.

so i found myself back in school the next morning. under the cold conditions of the new ava room, i learnt about adversity quotient, emotional quotient and intelligence quotient. discovered i had rather high spiritual intelligence. haha there was pizza for the break. then the rest of the day was spent at home quietly, with electromagnetism and alcohol.

mmm the sunday morning rain has been reduced to a drizzle. i shd get back to O.C.

Organic chem; here i come.

// we all fool ourselves about what's really going on sometimes.
